Unlike paper, it won’t tear easily and allows you to lightly lift out pigment or completely wash out your painting surface without damaging the canvas. Made from 100% cotton artist canvas, this pad combines the texture of a natural, woven fabric with a specially formulated gesso designed for all water-based paints. It is compatible with various mediums including watercolors, watercolour sticks, acrylics, inks, paint markers, permanent markers, and spray paints. To enhance the paint transfer to the canvas, it is recommended to wipe down the entire surface of the canvas with a very wet cloth ten minutes before painting. For loose painting styles, it is advisable to staple or adhere the canvas to a hardboard such as Gator board, foam core, or plywood to prevent buckling.
