Fredrix Watercolour Canvases are an exquisite 100% cotton artist canvas that seamlessly combines the textured feel of natural, woven fabric with a specially formulated gesso, specifically crafted for all water-based paints. Unlike traditional paper, this canvas provides exceptional durability, ensuring it will not tear even with multiple applications. Artists can easily lift out pigment or wash from their painting surface without causing any harm to the integrity of the canvas. Each canvas is double primed with an acid-free absorbent grounds based titanium gesso, ensuring a professional-grade surface that delivers outstanding results. The canvases are stretched on kiln-dried stretcher bars, with additional bracing included in larger sizes to provide added support and stability. - They are versatile and durable.
- It will not tear like paper and you can lightly lift out pigment or completely wash out your painting surface without damaging the canvas surface.
- Fredrix Watercolour Canvas Pad is a 100% Cotton artist canvas which combines the texture of a natural, woven fabric with a specially formulated gesso designed for all water-based paints.
- A versatile option for watercolors, watercolor sticks, acrylics, inks, paint markers, permanent markers and spray paints.
- Ten minutes before you paint, wipe down (firmly) the entire surface of the canvas with a very wet cloth. This will allow for more spontaneous transfer of the paint to the canvas.
- If painting loose, staple / adhere canvas to hardboard such as Gator board, foam core or plywood before painting to keep them from buckling.
- Perfect for stretching over stretcher bars, mounting for display or matting and framing under glass.
- These Artist Series archival quality canvas sheets are double-primed with an acid-free acrylic titanium gesso.
