The spiral handle suspends the brushes in air for drying, or in brush cleaner or water for cleaning, thereby preventing their bristles from being damaged. The screen in the bottom of the washer is useful as a surface upon which to clean brushes and also allows sediment to settle in the base so the water or brush cleaner can be reused.
