Drawings: Position the manikin in the desired action pose, observing how the limbs are placed for that specific movement. Use the manikin as a reference to sketch a figure in motion, such as walking. Create a series of drawings to capture the progression of the action.
Rubbings: Study images of people in action, then position the manikin in a similar pose. Place a sheet of paper over the figure, ensuring the manikin stays still, and rub a thick pencil or crayon along its edges. Gradually, the action pose of the figure will appear on the paper. Add fine details using pencil or pen.
Tracing: Set the manikin in the desired pose and trace its outline. To suggest movement, adjust parts like the arms or legs, then retrace the figure to show running or other motions. Since the manikin is magnetized, it can easily be displayed on any metal surface.
